KAIROS LUX_ÆTERNA is a multimedia installation by Susanna Brenner in the Grote of Laurenskerk in Weesp during the Spirit of Amsterdam festival in Holy Places 2024.

Inspired by the Christian labyrinth, KAIROS will explore the boundaries of the sacred and the profane. The installation will be created in part during a series of artist-led workshops. KAIROS_LUX ÆTERNA aims to function as a prayer and a meditation, resonating with the here and now, the before and after, the above and below. Ecstasy means standing outside oneself. A self-creating universe that is divine ecstasy: being One, being community, sharing being, indwelling, rejoicing, always being more.

The wire sculptures represent the ties that bind us, while the layered soundscape weaves an aural tapestry that offers a multisensory journey, a powerful, immersive experience.
